Following a blog post published earlier this week, it is believed that the privacy-focused cryptocurrency, Monero is going to see Riccardo Spagni step down as the project’s lead maintainer in an upcoming change for the project. 

Representatives confirmed that Riccardo Spagni, known as fluffypony in cryptocurrency circles and arguably one of the best-known advocates for Monero, will be serving as a backup maintainer in the future.
