Ondo launches onchain portfolio tokens based on BlackRock-developed strategies
Ondo Finance introduced three onchain portfolio tokens on Sept. 24 built on model portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock. The products are aimed at eligible non-U.S. investors in permitted jurisdictions and package baskets of securities or tokenized assets into a single token. Several outlets also tied the launch to a same-day move in ONDO, which was reported as a jump of more than 18% and in some cases nearly 30% the next day.
What this rests on
What it means
Each sentence links inside to the piece that supports it.
Eligible non-U.S. investors in permitted jurisdictions are the group that can use these portfolio tokens now, and that matters to anyone watching access to tokenized securities. The products package a complete investment strategy into one on-chain token, so the change is in how the portfolios are delivered rather than in who designs them.
Before this launch, those strategies were not available as Ondo onchain portfolio tokens in this form, and now they are packaged inside Intelligent Portfolios. BlackRock designed the model strategies, while Ondo Global Markets issues and operates the tokenized products, so the operating setup stays split between the two firms.

How the story was built
Every piece in order, with the time its news medium declares — if it is not believable we use ours and say so — and what it added to what was already known at that point. Arriving first is not the same as adding something.
