Three Amendments Define the Path to XRPL Lending
The XRP Ledger has opened validator voting on LendingProtocolV1_1, a proposed amendment that would add closed-ended lending vaults and change how interest is recognized. The vote is not enough on its own to put XRPL lending on mainnet, and the amendment still needs support from more than 80% of trusted validators held for two weeks.
What this rests on
What it means
Each sentence links inside to the piece that supports it.
XRPL users and validators are the first to notice this change because voting has opened on an amendment that would add closed-ended lending vaults to the ledger. If it advances, the way vaults handle deposits and returns would be different from the current setup, and that would be visible in the ledger’s lending features rather than in general XRP transfers.
In practice, the proposal changes when interest is recognized and how vault activity is staged. Interest would be recorded when borrowers pay, and vaults would move through subscription, investment, and redemption phases instead of a different structure that existed before.

How the story was built
Every piece in order, with the time its news medium declares — if it is not believable we use ours and say so — and what it added to what was already known at that point. Arriving first is not the same as adding something.
