Polkadot drops 9% to $1.10 as leveraged traders pull back
Polkadot moved sharply lower across Oct. 6 and Oct. 8, with one report putting it at $1.12 after a one-hour drop and another later putting it at $1.05 on Binance. During that span, leveraged positioning also changed, including long liquidations, a decline in open interest, and then a later hourly rebound that still left DOT lower over 24 hours.
What this rests on
Market reaction
The move was larger before the first headline than after. That is an observation, not an explanation: the market also moves on things nobody publishes.
How the story was built
Every piece in order, with the time its news medium declares — if it is not believable we use ours and say so — and what it added to what was already known at that point. Arriving first is not the same as adding something.
