U.S. Bitcoin ETFs lose $729 million across two sessions
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted another day of withdrawals on Oct. 8, and several later reports also tracked the October totals higher as the two-day slide continued into Oct. 9. Ether funds were still in an eight-session outflow run in the same period, while one later update also broke out the seven-day totals for both Bitcoin and Ether products.
What this rests on
What it means
Each sentence links inside to the piece that supports it.
Bitcoin ETF traders and issuers would have seen the most immediate effect in the continued withdrawal data: Oct. 8 added another $244.1 million in net outflows, after the prior trading day’s $484.9 million exit. That same period also showed Ether funds still running an eight-session outflow streak, so both products were facing redemptions at the same time.
Market reaction
The move was larger before the first headline than after. That is an observation, not an explanation: the market also moves on things nobody publishes.
How the story was built
Every piece in order, with the time its news medium declares — if it is not believable we use ours and say so — and what it added to what was already known at that point. Arriving first is not the same as adding something.
Has this happened before?
Nothing comparable yet.
