Standard Chartered Launches Bitcoin and Ether Trading for Affluent UAE Clients
Standard Chartered launched crypto trading for eligible wealthy clients in the United Arab Emirates, with access to Bitcoin and Ether through existing bank accounts. The service is closed-loop and does not allow transfers to external crypto wallets, and it carries a spread of up to 2%.

What it means
Each sentence links inside to the piece that supports it.
Wealthy clients in the United Arab Emirates can now use their Standard Chartered bank accounts to trade Bitcoin and Ether, which changes what they can do through the bank today. That is the most direct effect for customers who meet the eligibility rules, while the bank-side service stays limited to a closed loop.
Before this launch, the trading access described here was not available through these accounts, and the new setup leaves the external transfer restriction in place. Clients can trade inside the bank’s service, but they still cannot move crypto out to outside wallets through that channel, and the spread remains part of the arrangement.
