MSCI adopted new index-exclusion rules that place Strategy and Metaplanet at risk of removal from its equity indexes, with final names due on Nov. 11 and implementation set for Nov. 30. Separate coverage adds that a May simulation had already flagged Strategy and Metaplanet for deletion, with SharpLink on a watchlist and Upexi also identified for deletion. One report says MSCI will assess companies with substantial non-operating assets using operating-asset, expense, cash-flow, valuation and capital-raising tests, and that firms flagged on four of five tests become ineligible under the new framework.
