Cardano Foundation launches CIP-0113 token standard for compliance controls
Cardano Foundation-backed CIP-0113 moved through the proposal process and reached mainnet activation in early October. The standard adds issuer-level controls for native Cardano assets, including KYC checks, sanctions screening and transfer restrictions, with coverage pointing to stablecoins, funds and tokenized securities or bonds.

What it means
Each sentence links inside to the piece that supports it.
Before this, CIP-113 was still moving through Cardano’s proposal process; now it has been merged into the main CIP repository and then activated on mainnet. In practice, the change is that issuers can use the new token standard for compliance rules within native assets, while the underlying Cardano asset model remains the same.
