XRPL Opens New Lending Protocol Amendment for Validator Vote
Published
RippleX opened voting on the LendingProtocolV1_1 amendment for the XRP Ledger, and the proposal is tied to closed vaults with subscription, investment, and final settlement phases. Mainnet activation is still not confirmed, and the change would also add cash-basis accounting and require approval of three related amendments bundled into xrpld.
What this rests on
What it means
XRPL validators and developers are the immediate group affected because a vote is now open on a lending amendment they would need to approve before it can move forward. If it reaches activation later, users and builders on the network would see a lending design built around closed vaults rather than an already-live change. This is still a voting-stage event, not a confirmed mainnet rollout.
What changes in practice is the set of tools the ledger would support if the amendment advances: closed-ended vaults, cash-basis accounting, and the three-phase structure of subscription, investment, and final settlement. What does not change yet is the network’s mainnet setup, since activation has not been confirmed and the bundled amendments still need approval. The current status remains a proposal under validator review. (per tokenpost.com)

How the story was built
Every piece in order, with the time its news medium declares — if it is not believable we use ours and say so — and what it added to what was already known at that point. Arriving first is not the same as adding something.
