How we count
- Which tokens. Every token sale, presale, auction, exchange airdrop and node sale we hold that published a sale price, and whose token we can price today. Funding rounds and launchpools are left out. One row per project: its most recent sale, which is the price the last buyers paid.
- Which period. A token falls in a period by the day its sale closed, or opened when it has no closing date.
- Sale price. The price per token the sale published, in dollars, from the source we trust most for that sale (the platform itself first). When two sales of the same coin give prices that cannot both be right, or the only price is an auction's starting price, the token is left out.
- Price today. Our own market data when the coin is listed; otherwise the most liquid DexScreener pool we find for the token's contract.
- Thin markets. A gain measured on a DEX pool with less than $100K of liquidity, or less than $10K traded in the last 24 hours, is not counted: nobody can sell at that price. A loss there is counted: the token is as good as gone. 4 such gains left out in this period.
- Gone or never traded. A sold token with no price anywhere we read today (it never listed, or it vanished from every pool) is left out rather than counted as zero, so the share below the sale price is, if anything, too kind. 22 sold tokens from this period are in that case.
- Impossible figures. A sale our checks mark as an impossible figure (a price or amount that cannot be true) counts nowhere.
