IBM, Oracle, Intel and IonQ were added to the objection list for the OKX-ICE tokenized stock venue, bringing the disclosed total to 26 on an Oct. 26 notice. A later Oct. 27 notice lifted the total to 33, with JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, Dell Technologies and four other companies joining the opt-out list, and 30 of the 62 original names now objecting.

What it means
OKX-ICE is the joint tokenized-stock venue built by crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, under a framework that requires issuer consent before a company's shares can be offered in blockchain form. The venture started with a roster of 62 proposed companies. Unlike earlier tokenized-equity products from platforms abroad that proceeded without company sign-off, this US-linked structure obliges OKX-ICE to publish a running notice of which issuers have objected.
Opting out means IBM, Oracle, Intel, IonQ, JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola and Dell Technologies will not have tokenized versions of their stock trading on OKX-ICE, at least under the current roster. OKX-ICE now has to launch, if it launches, with a materially smaller and different list than the 62 names it originally proposed. Traders hoping to access round-the-clock, blockchain-settled exposure to these household-name stocks will have to look elsewhere or wait for a revised offering.
Thirty of the original 62 companies, roughly 48%, have now said no, and the list keeps growing with each notice. That is a strong signal that large US corporates do not want a crypto exchange or anyone else issuing a token tied to their stock without their control over how it trades, settles or is marketed. It cuts against the tokenization industry's pitch that any asset can be wrapped and traded permissionlessly, and shows issuer consent is not a formality many companies will wave through.
The next public notice from OKX-ICE will show whether the objection count keeps climbing past 33 or starts to plateau, and whether more original 62 names, or new ones, join JPMorgan and Coca-Cola. Also worth tracking is whether OKX-ICE proceeds to launch with the roughly half of its original list that has not objected, which would test whether the venue can operate credibly with a roster missing most of its best-known names.
